Who is this chick? My name is Patrice, and I am a bath and body product addict! I love stuff that looks good, smells good, but most importantly-feels good. I am particularly fond of soap...making. How did something so basic and so ordinary capture my attention and ultimately-my heart? I'll give you one word: SCIENCE!

I am a professed nerd, and science was always my favorite subject in school (until 10th grade science, but that's another story...). Soap making is a science that requires precise measurements involving oils, maybe butters, and the evil LYE MONSTER! When I first started making soap, it was a total disaster.

Being one who loves a challenge, I continued to make many horrendous batches of soap. At one point, I seriously considered giving it up, but being the proud and determined Leo that I am, I stuck with it. My first successful batch of soap was called Grapefruit lily. Know what I called it? Grapefruit Lily! That was long before the days of my tongue-in-cheek soap names. Otherwise, it could have wound up being named The Virgin Tart...

And so here I am-literally-a hundred batches later...still fiending to make soap and discover new and exciting ways to create them for you!
