Why TSS?

So, what's the deal with this soap? Besides being fanfreakintastically delicious, it's so much better for your skin than those commercial "soaps". Why the quotes? Because the soap you buy at mass retailers really aint soap! It's what us real soap makers like to call detergent bars. You need 3 key ingredients to make soap: water, lye, and some kind of oil. Once the water and lye are mixed together, it's then added to your oils and butters to create a chemical reaction. The end result of that chemical reaction is soap.I encourage you to read the ingredients on the back of your "soap" packaging. If it has a string of syllables and consonants, then more than likely, it's full of detergents and foaming agents to keep the bars hard and lathery. Why buy that skin-drying, itchy-icky crap when you can indulge in some good ole SOAP?!

All of my soaps are made with sustainable oils. What does that mean? It means that the means of obtaining or extracting them from their natural resources were done legally and ethically-especially my palm oil. When you buy my product, you can rest assured that no orangutans were harmed or displaced as a result of the harvesting of palm oil. Speaking of orangutans, I just love Orangutan Island (Animal Planet...)

I have also made the decision to use fragrance oils that are pthalate-free. HUH? You can read more about pthalates here. I won't bore you with the details, but why use something that's totally unnecessary when you can achieve the exact same results without it?
